Toy – “ House of cards “ by Roy and Charles Eames

Do you know toys, which can pass from one generation to another? The classics, which doesn’t get old, and are always great fun for children at any age? For me one of them is a “House of cards”, designed by Roy and Charles Eames. This wonderful set was developed in the 1950s. Die-cut cards featuring images of what Eameses called "good stuff", chosen to celebrate "familiar and nostalgic objects from the animal, vegetable, and mineral kingdoms, are alowed you to made any kind of constructions. “

For the ones who doesn’t know the designers: Husband-and-wife design team/ Charles (1907-1978) and Ray (1912-1988) Eames were among the most influential designers of the twentieth century. Their landmark contributions include furniture, architecture, film, and graphics. They were pioneers in the modeling of plywood, which was developed from their experiments and projects. Their chairs are one of the best know in the world ;-)
